As
they approach their 60th anniversary, the Kitchener-Waterloo
Symphony has continuously heralded the cause of Canadian new music.
Conductor Simon Streatfeild has presented the world premieres of over
seventy works. This concert features the works of Windsor’s Brent
Lee, Montreal’s Michael Oesterle, Canada’s R. Murray Schafer,
and the world premiere of a new accordion concerto by Toronto’s
James Rolfe in the incredible acoustics of Kitchener’s Centre In
The Square.
