Musique actuelle artists Tanguay and Walsh have been playing together for over a dozen years now and have performed in festivals from Toronto to Paris. Of minimalist construction, the music of “Midi tapant” is both spontaneous and through-composed. It is swarming with sensations and suggestions of colours, and alternates between moments of sheer intensity and lighter sound. This is an enjoyable take on ambient music from two accomplished musicians. Joining them tonight are bassist/vocalist Miles Perkins and Matthew Biederman.
