Dissocia
by Adam Cowart

29 King Street East

Performed by University of Waterloo Drama Department students under the direction of Andy Houston, with music by Nancy Tam and film/video design by Mark Walton. Dissocia examines the role that addiction plays in the 'performance' of everyday consumerism. The show focuses on digital gambling addiction, but it approaches the issue through the idea that gambling as an exploitative business is not unlike other businesses that claim to provide entertainment — for a price.
